The Majesty and Beauty of Autumn

by Willow Wood

The sky, a canvas brushed in gold,
As autumn’s story starts to unfold,
Leaves dance upon the crisp, cool air,
In hues of amber, rich and rare.

The trees, once green, in crimson blaze,
Stand proud beneath the sun’s soft haze,
A fleeting glory, soon to fall,
As nature answers winter’s call.

The wind, a whisper soft and light,
Carries the leaves in swirling flight,
They twirl and spin, a final show,
Before the earth lets go.

And in this season’s quiet grace,
We see the beauty of time’s embrace,
The majesty of autumn’s reign,
In every leaf, in every vein.

So let us marvel, while we may,
At autumn’s fleeting, bright display,
For in its beauty, we are shown,
The cycle of life, to which we’re sewn.
